Quizlet is a great online resource for teachers during a school closure (or anytime). You can find many learning activities that address a variety of topics, or you can create your own flashcards, games, and quizzes that students can access online.

Roomrecess is a fun interactive website for elementary to middle school age students. There are so many fun and silly games to keep kids entertained for hours. Definitely bookmark this website. Did I mention it is free?

A lot of places are reading stories online – either recording videos or going live on Social Media. We like to watch the “Pete the Cat” author, James Dean, read a story and draw pictures each day on Instagram.

There are so many great learning sites out there to keep students engaged and learning even if they are not physically in school. ABCya and Starfall are great for young learners, and sites like K12Reader and EReading Worksheets have tons of free language arts materials for students of various grade levels.

Readworks.org is a great free resource as well. Their stories are modified for various grade levels and many come with questions and vocabulary.
