Our Story

In 2009, Diana Parafiniuk, a speech therapist and E-Therapy's Founder, was commuting hundreds of miles each week to provide speech services to students across Northern Arizona. While working in remote and rural locations, Diana spent more time in the car than working with her students. Through time, research, and discovery, Diana learned about how to provide services remotely through telepractice, at that time, a new and innovative service delivery model. Through a love of learning, hard work, dedication, and determination, Diana knew that teletherapy was the answer! She could reach more students who didn’t have access to therapists, like students on the Navajo Reservation, in remote locations, and connect students to therapists who otherwise would not be served.

E-Therapy was one of the very first teletherapy companies. Leveraging early video internet streaming technology, E-Therapy began its innovative and creative approach and paved the way for students to begin using modern technology solutions to receive therapy. E-Therapy observed and learned that its services and approach to providing teletherapy were as, if not more, effective than in-person therapy. The company also learned how much schools and students need E-Therapy's services
